24 Hours That Changed Everything

Game 4

Penguins VS Capitals
5   3

Game 4 on Friday night was all Penguins, even though the Capitals took the early one goal lead the Pens didn't take the foot off the gas as the continued to add to their lead everytime the Caps managed to get closer. The only major loss of the night for the Pens was that of defenseman Sergei Gonchar whom took a dirty knee to knee hit from Alex Ovechkin. There is still no word as to the extent of the injury to Gonch, it is up in the air as to whether he will play at all the rest of this series or the rest of these playoffs for that matter. And as I stated Friday morning the winner of game 4 would have all the momentum going into game 5 and that is exactly how things looked to play out.

Game 5

Penguins AT Capitals
4   3

In Game 5 the Penguins were the first to score which I had thought spelled instant doom since the team that had scored first this series lost the game, but except for a few breakdowns the Pens managed to play their game and come out on top in overtime. I have to say Miro Satan is playing like a man possessed something I didn't expect after the way he played during the season and this has by far exceeded any explanations I had for him in the playoffs. Now the Penguins have shifted the series by winning 3 consecutive games since going down 2 games to none early on look for a sense of extreme urgency for game 6 tomorrow night as the Capitals now fight for their playoff lives as the series comes back to Pittsburgh.

LET'S GO PENS
