The Piece Moves On FA Round Up Day 2

Day 2 of the free agency period is winding down and it has been a rather slow day, the only big news coming on the home front was the signing of defenseman Rob Scuderi by the Los Angeles Kings. The contract Scuderi signed with the Kings was $3.4 Million a year for 4 years, which in my opinion was way to much for him based on 1 good season, I'm not saying I don't like Scuderi because I'm not I think he was a valuable player to the Pens in the playoffs. As for the Penguins they were rumoured to have offered $2 Million a year for 5 years, which sounds like more in the neighborhood of what he is worth. The $1.4 million difference may look like a big chunk, but you have to figure in the amount for cost of living in L.A. versus the cost to live in Pittsburgh which by all accounts is significantly cheaper.
