Pens Take 2 in a Row to Open the Season

The Penguins opened the season on Friday night at home against the New York Rangers and didn't disappoint on the night in which the Pens capped off a summer with Stanley. The Pens came out victorious by a score of 3-2 over the Rangers.

Last night to complete the 2 game sweep of New York teams the Pens traveled to Long Island and took on the Islanders and #1 draft pick John Tavares. Even though Tavares started to live up to the hype by tallying a goal and an assist Sid showed him how the big kids do it in the NHL and sealed the victory for the Pens by scoring the second shootout goal after Letang opened the shootout for the Pens with a goal.
