Pens Re-Sign Chris Kuntiz

GM Ray Shero and the Piitsburgh Penguins locked up forward Chris Kunitz to a two year extension today, and we see this as a good move. He may not be the best forward in the lineup but he puts it all on the line night in and night out to help his team win. Kunitz came over with Eric Tangradi in February 2009 from Anaheim in exchange for then relevant defenseman Ryan Whitney. The verdict is still out on Tangradi but every day this deal looks like highway robbery on the part of Shero. The deal is for the same money as his current deal with the Pens so there will be no change in his cap number.
