by: The PensNation Staff

Penguins AT Senators
4   3

The Pens prevailed over the Senators in the season opener today by a score of 4-3. Tyler Kennedy came up bug with 2 goals in the game the first came in the first minute of the game and his second was the game winner in over time. Malkin added a shorthanded goal in the second period to put the Pens up 2-1 and Scuderi put in the game tieing goal in the third to make the score 3-3.

It seemed like the Pens were on the power play all day which they were 7 times and they turned all those chances into 0 points. Therrien said earlier that he wanted to be first in the league on the power play, looks like we are well on our way.
