Pens Get Caught With Their Pants Down. Sabres Win.

by: The PensNation Staff

Penguins AT Sabres
3   4

After jumping out to a 3-goal lead in the first 21.5 minutes and sending Ryan Miller to the bench the Pens managed to squander away the lead over the next 38.5 minutes as former Penguin Patrick Lalime backstopped the Sabres stopping all 27 Penguin shots he faced. Even though the Pens had some good chances at expanding their lead they were unable to, and allowed the momentum in the game to shift hands on a penalty shot in the second period. Sabres forward Drew Stafford would score on the penalty shot and net another just 2 minutes later to bring the Sabres within one. Flower never seemed to look the same after having the wind knocked out him when a Sabres player was thrown on top of him in the crease.

The Penguins travel to Jersey to take on the Devils tonight, the Pens are 0-3 against the Devils this year so far, preview coming later.
