Pens Blow Lead Again

by: The PensNation Staff

Penguins VS Sabres
3   4

The Penguins came out flying in this one with two hook-ups from Malkin to Fedotenko which made the score 2-1. But, the same story we have been used to all seasone, the Penguins were up 3 goals to 1 on the Sabres and were dominating most of the game until about half way through the second when they allowed the Sabres climb back in it with 2 unanswered goals in the second and another in the third. Letang got on the board with his first goal of the season early in the second.

But this is when things started to turn for the worse and the Pens gave up the lead and were never able to regain momentum until it was too late. The Pens had a chance to tie it late in the third but a wide open Dupuis missed the net by about 15 feet on a slap shot. That's not as bad as Buffalo missing on a wide open empty net goal that would have sealed the game for the Sabres.

The Penguins play their next game in Dirty Jerz against a Devils who has been struggling a bit since the loss of goaltender Martin Brodeur the Pens walloped the Devils the last time they played by a score of 4-1.
