Penguins Sign G Brent Johnson

by: The PensNation Staff

Penguins signed goaltender Brent Johnson to a 1-year deal

The Penguins signed former Washington Capital backup goaltender Brent Johnson to a 1-year contract today, the terms of the deal are yet to be announced. He played 21 games with the Caps in 2008-2009, finishing with a record of 12-6-2, and recorded a .908 SV% with a 2.81 GAA. There is still no word as to how things are progressing with what we had thought to be the backup goaltender next year John Curry, maybe the Pens want to get him some more ice time with the Baby Pens. More to come of this later as details are released.
