Penguins Shoot Past the Sharks

by: The PensNation Staff

Penguins vs Sharks
2   1

The Penguins played a good tough game last night when they took the Western Conference leading San Jose Sharks to a shootout and toppled them with a shootout goal from Captain Sidney Crosby. This was a big win for the Pens to get against a rather tough opponent in the Sharks.

1st Period

The first period was pretty back and fourth with the majority of the pressure coming from the Sharks early on in the contest. The Sharks were up 15-4 shots on goal at one point before the Pens turned things around and ended the period with 11 shots.

2nd Period

It took almost the whole period before the scoring opened with a big goal from Pittsburgh native Bill Thomas on one of the better shifts we have seen from Miroslav Satan. Most of us missed most of this period when the FSN feed went down for around 15 minutes.

3rd Period

I missed most of the third period but from what I hear the FSN feed went down again I'm not sure but maybe they should look into this. Oh well the Sharks scored on a goal that most of us didn't see because of the Hurricane going on outside. Game goes to overtime Fleury shuts the door and Bing gets the shootout winner.
