The Penguins and Flyers squared off at the Igloo last night for the first game of the series. It was all Penguins through 3 periods of play. So much so that the Flyers started some goon shenanigans at the end of the game to try and gain any momentum they could going into game 2. The Flyers didn't help their cause either by spending the majority of the night killing penalties and gave them selves little chance to stay in the game. Towards the end when the shenanigans (I'm not even sure if that's how you spell that) started one douchebag Carcillo cheap shotted Mad Max Talbot and got him self a hearing with the NHL today because of it there is no word on the outcome of such meeting as of yet.

I had an incredible recap written out ok who am I kidding it sucked, but anyways I managed to lose it somewhere along the lines between last nights game and this post. I was thinking about writing another one but I figured if you didn't watch the game or even listen to it on the radio you deserve to not know what happened. The Penguins and Flyers meet again tomorrow night at 7:00pm for game 2 of these quarter finals.
