It's been almost 24 hours and I'm still pumped up about this victory over the Caps in game 7. This game was huge and I think the Pens will continue to build off of this victory and carry it into the next round against whomever they may face.

There was only one major gaffe in the game and that came towards the end of the period when Fleury tried play the puck along the boards and had it intercepted by Ovechkin allowing him to have a wide open net. When Flower was making the decison on whom to pass it too it looked as if he wanted to avoid Mud Skates Gill whom was closest to him. There was one big event on the night bigger then Varlamov being pulled shortly into the second period, it came with about 5 minutes left in the second when it seemed like Ovie had been on the ice almost the entire period he had lined up Geno for a hit but little to his surprise Malkin ducked out of the way leaving Backstrom wide open to be crushed.

Other than that the Penguins as a whole played a spectacular game and Fleury looked like the goalie we have come to know in the Playoffs. There are a couple of big games tonight Ducks vs Red Wings to decide who plays the Blackhawks in the west and the Bruins vs Hurricanes to see whom the Pens will face in the next rounfd and where game 1 will take place.
