GameDay Playoff Edition Game #2 Hurricanes

by: The PensNation Staff

It's A Hockey Night in Pittsburgh, written on the new arena by the Iron Workers

Since I missed the GameDay for game 1 of this series I will try and get things in this post that I meant to get into the last one. Going into this series I believed this was the best matchup for the Penguins to have in the Eastern Conference Finals. Before game 1 I believed that this is going to be a bunch of 1 goal victories and I am still keeping my original prediction of Penguins in 6 games or less. The Big factor in this series will be the goaltending on either end, and how disruptive the teams can be infront of one anothers net. The lineups for this series will stay fairly the same and I believe the only change we will see is perhaps Dupuis coming back into the lineup in place of Philippe Boucher once Gonchar is 100%. The remainder of the lineups are as follows:

Penguins Hurricanes
Forwards
Kunitz-Crosby-Guerin
Fedotenko-Malkin-Talbot
Cooke-Staal-Kennedy
Dupuis-Adams-Satan
(Sykora, Godard)

Defense
Gonchar-Orpik
Letang-Eaton
Gill-Scuderi
(Boucher, Goligoski)

Netminder
Fleury
Forwards
Whitney-Staal-Walker
Cole-Cullen-Ruutu
Samsonov-Jokinen-Eaves
Bayda-Brind'Amour-LaRose
(Conboy, Helminen, Ryan)

Defense
Kaberle-Gleason
Seidenberg-Wallin
Pitkanen-Corvo
(Babchuk)

Netminder
Ward

These lines don't take into account that Cole and Ruutu maybe out of the lineup for the Hurricanes while they mend from injuries suffered in game 1. Benstonium sent over this Penguins playoff video for everyone to check out. I personally think it's pretty good definitely the best playoff video I have seen thus far.

In case that video doesn't get you pumped up enough for tonight's game Jim & Randy on the DVE Morning Show recorded an updated version of the Malkin Ting Ting's song. You can find that here .
