D-Day is Upon Us

The NHL Trade day is upon us, it is like Christmas for NHL GM's and fans. Who will be where by 3:00pm today, we can't really tell you. With the recent waivers of Miro Satan and Bill Thomas it looks to me as if Ray Shero has something in the works. World's Laziest reporter Rob Rossi seems to think Ryan Malone and Jarkko Ruutu are on their way back to the 'Burgh. I hope he is wrong, simply because they are overpaid mainly Bugsy who makes 4.5 million a year for the next 5 years. 9:56 am: The Columbus Blue Jackets acquired forward Antoine Vermette from the Ottawa Senators for goaltender Pascal Leclaire and a 2009 2nd round pick. More details here .

11:39 am: The Calgary Flames get defenseman Jordan Leopold from the Colorado Avalanche for defensemen Lawrence Nycholat, Ryan Wilson, and a 2009 2nd round draft pick. More details here .

11:49 am: The Pittsburgh Penguins have acquired defensman Andy Wozniewski from the St. Louis Blues for defensman Danny Richmond. More info here .

12:04 pm: The Buffalo Sabres acquired goaltender Mikael Tellqvist from the Phoenix Coyotes for a 2010 4th round pick. More details here .

12:15 pm: The Toronto Maple Leafs have acquired goaltender Martin Gerber off of waivers from the Ottawa Senators.

12:16 pm: The Dallas Stars have picked up forward Brendan Morrison off of waivers from the Anaheim Ducks.

12:36 pm: The Pittsburgh Penguins have picked up forward Craig Adams off of waivers from the Chicago Blackhawks. More details here .

12:37 pm: The Anaheim Ducks acquired forward Petteri Nokelainen from the Boston Bruins for defenseman Steve Montador.

12:40 pm: The Calgary Flames acquired forward Olli Jokinen and a 3rd round pick from the Phoenix Coyotes for forwards Matthew Lombardi, Brandon Prust, and a 1st round pick. More info here .

1:24 pm: The Boston Bruins have acquired forward Mark Recchi and a 2010 2nd round pick from the Tampa Bay Lightning for defenseman Matt Lashoff and forward Martins Karsums. Trade details here .

1:58 pm: The Pittsburgh Penguins have acquired forward Bill Guerin from the New York Islanders for a conditional draft pick. Guerin, 38, has 36 points (16 goals, 20 assists) in 61 games this season. More details here .

The draft pick that Pittsburgh gives up will start as a fifth-round pick. If Pittsburgh makes the playoffs, it increases to a fourth-rounder. If they get to the second round, it becomes to a third round pick.

2:45 pm: The Philadelphia Flyers have acquired forward Daniel Carcillo from the Phoenix Coyotes for forward Scottie Upshall and a 2nd round pick.

2:47 pm: The New York Rangers have acquired forward Nik Antropov from the Toronto Maple Leafs for a 2nd round pick and a conditional pick.

2:59 pm: The New York Rangers have acquired defenseman Derek Morris from the Phoenix Coyotes for defenseman Dimitri Kalinin, forwards Nigel Dawes, and Petr Prucha.

3:07 pm: The Buffalo Sabres have acquired forward Dominic Moore from the Toronto Maple Leafs for a 2nd round pick.

3:08 pm: The Anaheim Ducks have acquired forward Erik Christensen from the Atlanta Thrashers for forward Eric O'Dell.

3:29 pm: The Florida Panthers have acquired defenseman Steve Eminger from the Tampa Bay Lightning for defenseman Noah Welch and a 3rd round pick.

3:33 pm: The Columbus Blue Jackets have acquired goaltender Kevin Lalande from the Calgary Flames for a 4th round draft pick.

3:36 pm: The Philadelphia Flyers have acquired defenseman Kyle McLaren from the San Jose Sharks for a 6th round pick.

3:37 pm: The Chicago Blackhawks have acquired forward Samuel Pahlsson from Anaheim Ducks for defenseman James Wisniewski and TBD.

3:43 pm: The San Jose Sharks have acquired forward Travis Moen and defenseman Kent Huskins from the Anaheim Ducks for forward Nick Bonino, goaltender Timo Pielmeier, and a conditional pick.

3:51 pm: The Carolina Hurricanes have acquired forward Patrick O'Sullivan from the Los Angeles Kings for forward Justin Williams.

3:53 pm: The Edmonton Oilers have acquired forward Patrick O'Sullivan and a 2nd round pick from the Carolina Hurricanes for forward Erik Cole.

4:17 pm: The Edmonton Oilers have acquired forward Ales Kotalik from the Buffalo Sabres for a 2nd round pick.

4:18 pm: The Toronto Maple Leafs have acquired goaltender Olaf Kolzig, defensemen Jamie Heward, Andy Rogers, and a 4th round pick from Tampa Bay for defenseman Richard Petiot.
