2011 NHL Awards Show: Live Blog

Prepare to hear a bunch of akward speeches with some of the worst English you have ever heard and shittiest comedy you've ever heard from a comic for the next 2 hours.

First trophy of the night is the James Norris memorial trophy... We are going to go out on a limb here and say Lidstrom is going to win this.

And the winner is... ha Nicklas Lidstrom will this guy ever lose.

The Art Ross trophy is up and if Sid played the whole season Sedin would even have sniffed this trophy.

Chara is awarded the Mark Messier award and it is so important that they need to cut away to back stage to hand it out.

The Selke trophy is up and we're going to say that Pavel Datsyuk is going to be a hard one to beat (twss) for this.

Wow Ryan Kesler beat out Pavel I'm a little surprised, I guess this will kind of help get over being the only Canuck to show up in the finals.

And the only trophy that Pittsburgh cares about the Jack Adams award... Not sure who is going to take this one I know we would like to see Bylsma take it but who knows...

The winner is Disco Dan Bylsma... Everyone better watch the bridges in Pittsburgh someone from thePensblog may be jumping off one shortly.

Up next the Calder trophy, I want to say Grabner for this one even though Skinner gets all the talk.

Of course they give it to Jeff Skinner he seems to be the media darling of this year's class.

Craig Patrick to give out the GM of the year award... which without one Ray Shero is pretty much a joke. Going to go with Yzerman here.

The winner is Mike Gillis... I guess all these little individual awards for Vancouver are better than that team award they forgot to show up for last week.

Once again another trophy that was gift wrapped to another player with the injury to Crosby. The "Rocket" Richard trophy goes to Corey Perry on Anaheim.

The Jay Mohr Ted Lindsay Trophy as voted on by the players goes to Daniel Sedin, wow Vancouver sure is filling up that empty trophy case quickly tonight.

The Bill Maesterton award is up, and the winner is... Ian Laperriere

The Lady Byng is pretty much game set match for St. Louis. Who else are they going to give it to.

Live blogs are terrible, someone remind me why I thought this was a good idea.

We're almost to the finish line, next on the block the Vezina trophy... If I was a betting man I would say Luongo here but it could be... oh snap Tim Thomas wins another one over Luongo.
